Welcome

October is a small desktop utility for syncing Kobo highlights to Readwise.

It has a tight scope, just aiming to do this one thing and do it well enough.

There are plenty of other tools you can leverage such as Calibre for managing books on your eReader.

October's primary aim is to to just remove friction for Readwise users, not to be a comprehensive Kobo tool by any means.

All releases are distributed via Github Releases with the source being licensed under the MIT License which allows anyone to freely alter, fork and/or learn from the source code.

You may want to do some prep work first

Before you get started, there are a few prerequisites you should be aware of in order to have the best experience.

Some features are disabled out of the box for varying reasons that are detailed at the link above.

Once you're familiar with some of the extra setup steps, you should refer to the page for your particular platform in case there are any quirks that you need to be aware of.
